Dave Mustaine made a triumphant return to the stage last night in Finland, as he and Megadeth performed for the first time since his throat cancer diagnosis.
The heavy metal giants are supporting Five Finger Death Punch on a European tour -- with stops scheduled in cities like Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin and Milan before wrapping things up February 22nd in Sofia, Bulgaria. Joining them throughout the trek is none other than Bad Wolves!
The tour began last night, January 20th, at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. Megadeth treated fans to an 11-song main set, kicking off with "Hangar 18" before playing favorites like "Peace Sells," "Symphony of Destruction" and "Dystopia" and closing out with Rust in Peace classic "Holy Wars ... the Punishment Due."
After the show, bassist David Ellefson shared a picture from the performance with a heartfelt message about Mustaine's recovery: "This is a photo from tonight's tour kick off show in Helsinki," he wrote.
"... one filled with overwhelming gratitude from the four of us for the return of Dave's health, and the privilege for us to perform for you again."
