As Matchbox Twenty prep for their ultimate 2020 Tour celebrating 25 years as a band, today we're hearing from the band about the songwriting process for the creation of their hit album More Than You Think You Are.
""We had become a really good live band at this point. We were really proud of ourselves and so we weren't afraid to go into the studio and flex that muscle and just kinda be like a live band."- Rob Thomas
Later he adds: "We like these songs because they represent something in us that is very similar. I know that connection that I feel. You know that Matchbox is kind of a part of that person's nostalgia in a way that's embedded in them like permanently like DNA. You come out and you feel that. I don't know if that will ever get old."
