Dashboard Confessional Performs 4 Song Acoustic Livestream Set

Last night (March 31) Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional went live on Facebook and YouTube to bring fans a memorable acoustic set. The Livestream began at 8 p.m. EST and was about 20 minutes long.

Carrabba began the Livestream by talking with his viewers and easing the tensions during this difficult time.

“Hey, it’s Chris. I decided to get dressed up for this occasion since I don’t have any other occasions to get dressed up for right now. I think maybe you know what that’s like.”

Carrabba discusses his So Impossible EP, which was released in 2001, and the idea of it being a narrative. This was one of Dashboard Confessional’s first EP’s they ever released.

He then goes on to play it for fans, opening with the first song on the EP “For You to Notice.”

Carrabba then tuned his guitar and smoothly transitioned into “So Impossible,” the next track and name of the EP. Toward the end of the song, Carrabba played an extended guitar solo that was as memorizing, to say the least.

Next up on the setlist was Dashboard Confessional’s “Remember to Breathe.” The performance was hauntingly beautiful with Carrabba hitting every high note.

For the closing song, Carrabba performed the last song off of the So impossible EP, "Hands Down.” He described the song by saying,

“This song is about the best day I ever had in my whole life.”

“Hands Down” is Dashboard Confessional’s top played song being performed a total of 365 times over their career.

Carrabba finished off the Livestream by thanking fans for tuning in.

“Thank you, guys. Thanks for visiting with me. Singing with me. Thanks for all of you helping each other to get through this healthy, safe, and sane. So anyway, I’m Chris and along with you we are Dashboard Confessional.”
