Misfits Play Homecoming Show in New Jersey with 'Original' Lineup

Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein played their first homecoming show as Misfits in over three decades. The original classic era-lineup performed at Newark's Prudential Center on May 19th to a sold-out crowd. The horror punks original lineup originally parted ways in 1983, when frontman Glenn Danzig left to pursue his own group.

Two years ago, Misfits drew fans from all over the world, for their highly awaited and special reunion sets in Chicago and Denver for 2016's Riot Fest Music Festival. Following the festival performance in September of 2016, Misfits bassist Jerry Only revealed to Rolling Stone Magazine that the band wanted their reunion to continue beyond the festival sets.

"I know Doyle wants it to continue. I know Glenn wants it to continue," Only stated, "We just have to be big enough people to make it continue. And that's where we're at. Whatever it takes. We're going into our 40th anniversary, so the timing couldn't be more perfect."

Misfits continued their reunion appearances when they performed shows last year in Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. View the band's New Jersey setlist below:
