Fleetwood Mac Play 20-Song Set on Stevie Nicks' Birthday in 1990

The ethereal Stevie Nicks turns 72-years-young today. Songwriter and vocalist of Fleetwood Mac, Nicks' career has been thriving for decades now.

In honor of her birthday, we're taking a look back at one of Fleetwood Mac's shows that happened to land on her special day. This one takes us back to May 26th, 1990 at Champs de Brionne Music Theater in George, Washington. The show was a stop on their Behind The Mask Tour, in support of their 15th studio album.

It was the first album the band recorded after the departure of guitarist Lindsay Buckingham, who was replaced by Billy Burnette and Rick Vito. The tour lasted through December 1990.

They carried with them a 20-song setlist and that night, the night Nicks turned 42, they opened things up with "The Chain." They performed most of their hits like "Dreams," "Rhiannon," "Gold Dust Woman," "Landslide" and "Little Lies." Songs off Behind the Mask included "Save Me," "Stand on the Rock," and "In the Back of My Mind."

Fifteen songs into the set Nicks had her ultimate moment to shine as she performed her own solo song, "Stand Back." The main set ended on "Go Your Own Way" and then they came back to encore with three more songs! The night ended for good with "Songbird."

The most performed song on the tour was "Rhiannon" and despite being in support of Behind the Mask, that album was the 11th most performed on the tour. They performed songs from over 30 albums throughout the trek.

Happy Birthday Stevie!
