Boston native Diamante is gearing up for her North American summer dates as support for Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, and Three Days Grace. We caught up with the rocker while she was in Los Angeles to talk about her favorite lyrics, building a setlist and what fans can expect from her on the upcoming summer tour. Favorite Lyrics
"I thinking "fight like a girl" was always one that I was really proud of just because it's always this negative connotation to do anything like a girl. So I wanted to take that phrase and flip it on it's head and make it something empowering and powering and cool."
Building a Setlist
"Building a setlist can be kinda tricky. It depends how long I'm playing for. So for example on these New Years Day shows I had about 40 minutes so I was able to fit in a lot more songs- throw in some ballads, some acoustic songs here and there. On the shorter sets I like to keep it really high energy. Just have like the fast tempo banggers- boom boom boom boom. This summer actually I'm going to be playing my first ever 60-minute set, which is going to be a challenge but it's going to be my entire album."
