Concert of the Day: Metallica's 18-Song Set in Lisbon 2007

We're officially four months into the COVID quarantine, and with no end in sight, Metallica Monday's have officially become a 2020 weekly tradition in the hard rock community.

Tonight (July 6th) Metallica will be airing their 2007 Live in Lisbon, Portugal concert. The show took place on June 28th at Parque do Tejo on their Sick of the Studio '07 Tour, and was part of Super Bock Super Rock Fest 2007.

The metal legends have unearthed the archived show from their vault, and starting today you'll be able to watch the screen feeds from the 18-song performance. Prepare yourself for the livestream by digging into the setlist and noting all your favorite songs!

As always, the band step on stage to "The Ecstasy of Gold" by Ennio Morricone (RIP) and then dive into their opening song, "Creeping Death." Throughout the tour, Metallica worked in songs off of seven different albums, with Master of Puppets having the most spotlight on the setlists.

The performance included TWO encore - the first one carried four songs, including "Nothing Else Matters" and "Enter Sandman." The second encore carried two songs, starting with a cover of "Am I Evil?" by Diamond Head which they hadn't performed (in full) since 1998, and then they closed the set out with "Seek & Destroy."
