Khalid is currently on the European leg of his Free Spirit world tour, promoting his hugely successful sophomore album of the same name. The pop star kicked off his European tour last week with a gig at Lollapalooza Berlin (where he brought DJ Martin Garrix on stage), followed by a show in Hamburg, Germany.
While many artists stick to setlists of around 20 songs, or even less, Khalid has demonstrated amazing stamina by going above and beyond every night on his Free Spirit tour. At the Hamburg show, he played a 32 song set, which, amazingly, is typical for him! He opened the show with the title track to his latest album, “Free Spirit,” before moving into American Teen track “8TEEN.”
During the lengthy set, Khalid played almost the entirety of his 2018 EP Suncity, save for the title track. “Vertigo,” “Motion,” and “Better,” were included in the setlist, among others. Additionally, the star performed Marshmello’s “Silence,” which he is featured on, along with “Eastside” with Halsey and Benny Blanco and “Love Lies” with Normani. Even though Khalid is well known for his collaborative spirit, which has resulted in hits such as “Lovely” with Billie Eilish and “Beautiful People”with Ed Sheeran, he has stuck to mostly performing solo work on this tour. Given how young Khalid’s career is so far, it’s pretty impressive that he can carry out a 30-plus song set every night by himself!
Khalid closes with two Suncity tracks, “Salem’s Interlude” and “Saturday Nights.” Check out the full setlist below!
Khalid will continue to tour Europe well into the fall, before taking the Free Spirit tour to Australia this winter.
