French new wave pop band are coming up on their 40th anniversary milestone in 2021. To amp up their devoted fans for the celebration, the band released a Singles Collection album last month, and performed a private concert at La Seine Musicale in Paris last night (September 29)!
A few lucky fans got the privilege of attending the concert, which featured a 13-song setlist that touched on all corners of their iconic career. The hit French band opened up the show with two Paradize songs - "Mao Boy" and "Popstitute." The setlist including songs mostly off their last studio album, 2017's 13.
Only three songs from their 1980s era made it into the setlist - "Miss Paramount," "Tes yeux noirs" and "Trois nuits par semaine." Their hit song "L'Aventurier" was not included in last night's set. Instead, fans got to mostly hear all their best work from the past 20 years.
They also performed their new song off of their latest Singles compilation, "Nos célébrations," on par with the theme of their 40th anniversary. The song has already been performed four times.
They ended the night on a two-song encore, closing out with "Station 13" and "Karma Girls." Check out the setlist below.
