Eagles Played a 20-Song Set on Glenn Frey's Birthday in 1976

Today the late Glenn Frey would have turned 71-years-old. The former Eagles frontman passed away in 2016, and the band has continued to carry on his legacy, performing with Glenn's son Deacon Frey and Vince Gill.

In honor of Frey, we've found a setlist from Eagles' peak era - the Hotel California Tour of 1976 - that landed on Frey's 28th birthday. The show took place at The Summit in Houston, Texas and carried 20 songs, including a 4-song encore.

Although the tour was titled Hotel California, the setlist carried more songs off their third studio album On The Border. However, they still worked in licks off all the first five albums. They opened up the night with "Take It Easy" and worked in several heavy hitters like "Take It To The Limit," "One Of These Nights," "Hotel California," and main set ender "Witchy Woman."

The set also features a handful of songs from Joe Walsh's solo material and his band James Gang. They covered one song during the encore - J.D. Souther's "Best Of My Love." The encore ended on "Tequila Sunrise."
