Shania Twain Kicks off Let’s Go! Vegas Residency with 20-song Set

Country music icon and superstar, Shania Twain, has officially launched Let’s Go! The Las Vegas Residency at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood. This marks the second residency from Twain who first headed to the Sin City strip in 2012 with Shania: Still the One at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace which ran from December 2012 through December 2014.

We scored tickets to opening night of Let’s Go! The Las Vegas Residency and believe when I say, Shania Twain ,who also serves as the creative director for the residency, knows how to throw a party! I was fortunate enough to catch her 2018 Now Tour and was blown away then but this show manages to crank it up a couple of notches for a Sin City extravaganza, Shania style.

Joining a sea of die-hard fans inside the Zappos Theater, you could feel the excitement in the air, the anticipation of Shania hitting the stage was building. The curtains raised and the fans roared as the opening visual helped build even more momentum for Shania to hit the stage. The visual showed off Shania’s signature music video looks, a supercut of all-things Shania, a reminder that the country music icon’s impact on pop culture is as undeniable as her hits.

The opening performance was a teaser of sorts as Shania hit the stage for a "Man I Feel Like A Woman" intro that was truly epic, even though it wasn't the full song it set the tone for the entire show as Twain quickly worked her way into the Come On Over track, “Rock This Country.”

The best part of Let's Go! The Las Vegas Residency was that it truly was a celebration of a monumental career, a career in which few artists are ever able to achieve. The setlist was full of the signature hits, it was a sing-a-long that even the casual fan will enjoy because the setlist is largely made up of songs that were impossible to escape at one point or another.

Overall, the setlist included 9 songs from Come On Over, 5 songs from The Woman in Me, 3 songs from Up!, 2 songs from Now and 1 song from Greatest Hits. Oh, there was a brief cover of "White Christmas" which made for a seasonal moment, but it's worth noting she didn't perform it in full. Check out the full setlist below!

Shania Twain - Let's Go! The Las Vegas Residency - December 6, 2019 - setlist

The production was over-the-top and perfect in every way possible for a Las Vegas show which included 6 costume changes, lasers, box screens, giant balls, confetti, a full on bar, pyro, dancers, giant hats and props galore, every visual aspect of the show was just as good as the music.

There were two moments throughout the show where fans were escorted onto the stage, the first time she brought 4 fans up to dance along and the second time she brought a couple on stage to serenade them during "From This Moment On." While I'm not sure how fans are selected it's safe to say those fans hit the jackpot for the opening night show!

The show closes with a proper performance of "Man I Feel Like A Woman" and let me tell you, Shania ends thing with a big bang! Actually, why don't you just see it for yourself below.

When you have a career as big as Shania, with a stacked catalog of hits that range from the love songs to the heartbreakers to the party starters, with an influence on pop culture that's reached generations of fans, you deserve to be celebrated and Let's Go! The Las Vegas Residency does just that, and it does it so well. It's an absolute party from start to finish, celebrating the new Queen of Sin City!
