Looking Back on Scott Weiland's Last Stone Temple Pilots Show

Today, on the five year anniversary of Scott Weiland's passing, we're looking back on the last show he played as the frontman for rock band Stone Temple Pilots.

Aftershock 2012

The gig was their headlining slot at the 2012 Aftershock Festival, held at Discovery Park in Sacramento. Their hour-long set kicked off with "Sin" before rocking into their third most-performed song, "Vasoline."

Although their most recent album at the time was 2010's self titled LP, the majority of the set was made up of tracks from Purple and Core. Country-leaning "Hickory Dichotomy" has not been played since.

The only other track from the self-titled album that got play that evening was "Between The Lines," just before their massive radio hit "Interstate Love Song."

Check out some fan footage of the band playing their second most-performed song, "Plush"

STP ended their set with Tiny Music track "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart" but returned for a two song encore of "Unglued" and "Sex Type Thing."
