I also would prefer to see @Song, but unfortunately it's not currently possible. @Song is automatically derived from @Cover when there is a "member of group" relationship on musicbrainz.

I agree that the word "Cover" is wrong, but in this case it is more important to group all performances of the one song by linking them to the original release artist - in this case "The Beat".

eg. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/the-beat-33d6c0dd.html?song=Hands+Off...She%27s+Mine

Unfortunately this is the best solution we have at the moment for "The Beat featuring Ranking Roger".

Hello

I linked both festivals together at https://www.setlist.fm/festival/1990/benefit-concert-for-earth-day-1990-4bd79b5a.html . I've noticed there's more Earth Day concerts with different naming, I may go through them to link them all together on one page. I know Paul McCartney performed in 1993 at one of those. 1995 is already linked to 1990.
I've also named the tour for both of these gigs, based on the one for Billy Bragg I believe as A Performance for the Planet. Maybe you could do this for the other performers?
For 1990, Bruce Hornsby is credited in two different ways for both performances .
Thanks for the updates.

For https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/echo-and-the-bunnymen/2006/the-zodiac-oxford-england-6bd3eee6.html on Oct 31, 2018 you changed both Villiers Terrace & Lips Like Sugar to Villiers Terrace / Roadhouse Blues / Hot Love @Cover[9efff43b-3b29-4082-824e-bc82f646f93d] & Lips Like Sugar / When You Rock 'n' Roll With Me @Cover[5441c29d-3602-4898-b1a1-b77fa23b8e50]. A medley tag applies to the whole song, not only the last song of the medley.
For https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/billy-bragg/2006/de-montfort-hall-leicester-england-b97f52e.html you added immediately St Monday / Itchycoo Park @Cover[7771a68c-ef6a-400f-978d-64050d45a54c] plus additionally for https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/billy-bragg/1990/west-capitol-lawn-washington-dc-73efce45.html you added this as a tour
Earth Day Rally 1990, when in fact this is a festival.

Hi,
Sorry for the late response. I was on vacation so could only sporadically check this site. To be honest, I don't know enough about Arcade Fire to make a judgement call here. There are valid points made on both sides of the argument.

It seems there are two types of people on this site: people who just want a record of a concert they attended and people who would like to see an accurate database of all shows performed by their favourite band. And in the latter case it makes no sense to create a new song called “Wake Up Chorus” to mark the exit parade, especially since it is basically a reprise of the last song. So an @Info tag would suffice.

It would help if there is a live album or DVD release where their exit parade is marked and named as a separate track.
I checked Youtube and found a concert at MSG where they played the Wake Up chorus, but the setlist https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/arcade-fire/2017/madison-square-garden-new-york-ny-43e2c317.html
shows it as an outro tape. I agree this makes no sense at all if they performed it live.
Now in your case of Rebel Rebel, or any other cover they spontaneously play (and play most of it) I agree it warrants a listing as a performed song.
You could even add it with an @Set[ ] in the encore to mark as their exit music.

But in the end, like any user-maintained website, majority decision rules.

If it is any consolation, I’ve had a similar thing with the band Muse. They’ve been playing Ennio Morricone’s “Man with a Harmonica” during most of their concerts in the past 10 years. Even though they play about 90% of the whole song, the purists demand it is marked as an intro, because it always precedes the same song and was not listed separately on their DVD release, so I just gave up in the end.

Now, the people you are having an issue with are all the same person who created multiple profiles to pretend having bystanders. Needless to say this isn’t allowed and this has been dealt with.

Hope this helps.

I have contacted the moderators / forum's too. MaccaEDU is being unnecessarily rude and unpleasant to me too.

Thank you for your long comment on Arcade fire at Birmingham. I was at Wembley and your description is EXACTLY what happened there too, although on my night they played Rebel Rebel, with no Wake up element. I videoed it. My vid lasts 4 mins 48 seconds. I am getting beyond p###ed off with the american contingent amending the european setlists just so they fit there preconceived narrow view of what they imagine the setlist "must have been" because of how it was noted for america. My guess is it was actually exactly as per our recollection but the first person wrote it one way and they (who do not seemto have attended the tour, even in the us, have taken that as gospel and refuse to see any other take on it ! Thanks again for your voice of reason

yes, I saw that on the link you provided, so I updated the Glasgow show as well.
Feel free to add the rest of the tour if you like :-)

Many thanks - I think Mike would be happier this way as the Birmingham show and the rest of the Aladdin Sane tour was definitely promoted as a Mike Garson show and tour. Cheers, T

ok, I have changed it back. Though you have to admit it is virtually the same concept as Celebrating Bowie, only a different backing band :-)
