The years 1979 to mid eighties, the heyday of my musical journeys where I spent every Friday or Saturday nights going to local pub gigs and every opportunity to go to the Marquee to see the bands of the era. Been going to live music ever since and plan to keep going to gigs till I drop.
These are the gigs that I can either remember, tricky in my youth! or ones that I kept the ticket stubs for. There were so many nights at the Marquee that blurred into one!
Feel privileged to have seen some great rock bands, with original line ups and some iconic gigs. Some classic venues (Hammersmith Odeon, never the Apollo to me)
My greatest claim to fame is seeing Zeppelin, aged 16 at Knebworth and then being lucky enough to get a ticket for the 2007 gig. And what a night!
